Christmas TV

With the Christmas (or "Holiday") season starting to pick up, our televisions are once again flooded with all number of Christmas (or "Holiday") shows. Each and every year, we get the oldies but goodies: Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, and, my favourite, How The Grinch Stole Christmas.

Along with these proven winning television shows comes a whole slew of new "crap". These shows are the brain child of advertising firms and toy-makers desperately vying for every last penny of your Christmas budget. I mean - it's only a matter of time before we see a "A Very Bratz Christmas" where a number of young, preteen girls are forced to dress up like whores to save Christmas.

Or how about a "A Pokemon Chanukah: Eight Days in the Battle Arena"? Nothing better than sitting down with the family and watching Pikachu dish out the pain to Frumpasaur, Dollashitzu, or Titty-Litty Crapkan.

Oh hey! What about a "A Batman Festivus" where the Joker steals the Festivus pole, forcing Batman to duke it out with Harley Quinn and The Riddler in order to save the holidays? Actually, that would be pretty cool...

In any case, a new Christmas show has popped up this year and it's great: Shrek The Halls! My wife and I watched it and it's cute, funny, and totally safe for kids. Hold on, you say - just how funny could a kids Christmas show actually be?

Let me set up the clip below. In the show, many of Shrek's more famous characters are taking turns giving their own interpretations of "'Twas the Night Before Christmas". Although they're all pretty funny, the one by Puss n' Boots is laugh out loud, pee-your-pants funny! Don't believe me? Watch for yourself:

Well, I've got my Christmas spirit now - how about you?
